Duties:
Reports to the Manager of Transit. Provides scheduling of requested transportation.
Work Performed:
• Receives and processes passenger requests for Parallel Transit service.
• Schedules and dispatches personnel according to passenger bookings.
• Processes and transmits information and instruction to co-ordinate the activities of Parallel Transit Operators, using computerized and dispatching equipment.
• Prepares monthly rider's invoices, checks and summarizes weekly deposits, and fuel sheets.
• Maintains computer and manual records of passenger use, fees, schedules and other related operational information.
• Prepares, keys in, copies, edits and proofreads correspondence, invoices, publications, reports and related material
• Opens and distributes incoming regular, electronic mail and other material and coordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments/organizations
• Orders office supplies and maintain inventory
• Answers telephone and electronic inquires and relay telephone messages
• Greets visitors and direct to appropriate person
• Performs data entry and tracking on automated and other systems, including but not limited to department statistics, databases, mailing lists, invoices, payroll data, purchase orders, petty cash and work orders
• Compiles data, statistics and other information as required
• Maintains Transit files
• Complies with all safety rules, practices, requirements and regulations and assists in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Community College Certficate (1 yr) in Office Administration
Minimum 3-6 related professional experience
Understanding of financial concepts along with comuter and keyboarding skills
Specialized Skills, Abilities, Training, License, Memberships, or Certifications
Ability to work according to designated shifts
Ability to meet screening requirements, including a successful completion of a Cirminal Reference Check
