Department/Division: Community Services/Parks and Cemetery

Work Performed:

• This position is responsible for duties related, but not limited to, horticultural and maintenance operations on City properties.
• Perform horticultural activities in the park system.
• Garbage pickup.
• Grass cutting, trimming, raking.
• Cleaning and maintenance of Community Services equipment & facilities.
• Safe and efficient operation, care and maintenance of tools, equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain daily written records of work related activities.
• Apply safety precautions and procedures in the performance with corporate policies and legislation.

Qualifications:

• Previous work experience in landscaping, horticulture, farming or other related experience an asset.
• Ability to operate small tools and equipment (i.e. lawnmowers, weed eaters, power tools, rakes, shovels, brooms, blowers, rototillers) is required.
• Please be advised that the City of Stratford will conduct background screenings prior to commencing employment.

Specialized Skills, Abilities, Training, License, Memberships, or Certifications

• Valid G or G2 Drivers License.
