Work Performed:
- This position is responsible for duties related, but not limited to, horticultural and maintenance operations on City properties.
- Perform horticultural activities in the park system.
- Garbage pickup.
- Grass cutting, trimming, raking.
- Cleaning and maintenance of Community Services equipment & facilities.
- Safe and efficient operation, care and maintenance of tools, equipment and vehicles.
- Maintain daily written records of work related activities.
- Apply safety precautions and procedures in the performance with corporate policies and legislation.
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in landscaping, horticulture, farming or other related experience an asset.
- Ability to operate small tools and equipment (i.e. lawnmowers, weed eaters, power tools, rakes, shovels, brooms, blowers, rototillers) is required.
- Please be advised that the City of Stratford will conduct background screenings prior to commencing employment.
Specialized Skills, Abilities, Training, License, Memberships, or Certifications
- Valid G or G2 Drivers License.
