Work Performed:

• Reporting to the Lions Pool Supervisor, the Lifeguard-in-Training provides superior customer service.
• Take responsible action in caring for the welfare of all participants.
• Promote the aims, objectives and mottos of the City of Stratford, Canadian Red Cross Society and Lifesaving Society of Canada.
• Assist in ensuring that pool rules are enforced.
• Assist in the implementation of swimming lessons for all required levels.
• Assist in the maintenance of daily record keeping.
• Assist in basic facility operations.
• Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
• Assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current First Aid/CPR B certificate.
• Current Lifesaving Society Bronze Medallion.
• Please be advised that the City of Stratford will conduct background screenings prior to commencing employment.
